Same-day delivery is not available on Sundays (Walk-ins/Pick-ups only). Need something after the cutoff? Give us a call anytime during business hours and we'll do everything we can to make it happen! You can order online at garrettflorist.com, by phone at (416) 488-8888, or visit us at 2025 Avenue Road.

We deliver throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, covering neighbourhoods and cities including North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, and Brampton. We also deliver to hospitals, funeral homes, corporate offices, nursing homes, and places of worship across the region. Our delivery fee starts at $16.95 within the core Toronto area, and for deliveries further out we'll confirm the adjusted fee before you finalize your order. If you're wondering whether we can reach a specific address, give us a call at (416) 488-8888. Chances are, we can get flowers there.

Yes, we offer three delivery windows to help you plan: morning (9 AM to 12 PM), afternoon (12 PM to 4 PM), and evening (4 PM to 6 PM). Just select your preferred window when you place your order. If you have a specific time in mind, like a surprise birthday lunch or an office celebration, let us know and we'll do everything we can to make it happen.

Our driver will call the recipient directly to confirm the best place to leave the arrangement. If no one is available and conditions aren't ideal for leaving flowers outside (cold weather, no sheltered spot), we'll bring them back and attempt another delivery at no extra charge. For apartment and condo buildings, we coordinate with the concierge or front desk. We want to make sure every delivery arrives safely and beautifully.

We deliver to hospitals across Toronto, including Toronto General, Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook, St. Michael's, and many others. We recommend our hypoallergenic arrangements for hospital deliveries, as they're gentle on sensitive patients and roommates. Our driver will leave your flowers at the desk for the specific ward to ensure they reach the right person. To make delivery as smooth as possible, please provide the patient's full name, room number, and a phone number for the recipient when you order.

You've got plenty of options: order online at garrettflorist.com anytime, call us at (416) 488-8888, text us at (647) 226-2727, message us on Instagram, or stop by our shop at 2025 Avenue Road in Toronto. Online orders are quick and easy. Just browse, pick your arrangement, add a message, and choose your delivery date.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, both online and in-store. If you're ordering by phone, we can take your credit card details over a secure line.

Because we work with fresh, seasonal flowers, occasionally a specific bloom may not be available. If that happens, our designers will substitute with flowers of equal or greater value that match the colour palette and style of what you ordered. The result always looks just as beautiful, and often even better, since our team picks the freshest stems of the day.

Flower Care & Tips

With proper care, most fresh-cut flower arrangements last 7 to 10 days. Some hardy varieties like chrysanthemums and carnations can last even longer, up to two weeks. The key is keeping them in fresh water, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and trimming the stems every few days. When you change the water, add the flower food packet that comes with your arrangement, give the stems a fresh diagonal cut, and remove any leaves that have fallen below the waterline. A little attention every couple of days makes a big difference.

Here are our top tips for getting the most life out of your arrangement:

  • Keep the vase filled with cool, fresh water and change it every two to three days
  • Trim the stems at an angle (about half an inch) each time you change the water, as this helps them drink more efficiently
  • Remove any leaves that sit below the waterline to prevent bacteria buildup
  • Keep your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and fruit bowls (fruit releases ethylene gas, which speeds up wilting)
  • Use the flower food packet that comes with your arrangement each time you refresh the water

Yes, the fridge can actually help extend the life of most cut flowers. It's the same idea behind the coolers we use in the shop. Just make sure the temperature stays above 1 degree Celsius and keep them away from fruits and vegetables. The one exception is tropical flowers like orchids, birds of paradise, and anthuriums, as cold temperatures can damage their petals.

Don't give up on them just yet! Start by re-cutting the stems at a sharp angle under running water and placing them in a clean vase with fresh, cool water. If individual stems are drooping, try submerging the entire stem in lukewarm water for an hour, which can rehydrate them. Remove any fully wilted blooms so the healthy flowers can keep going strong.

We recommend our hypoallergenic arrangements for hospital deliveries, as they're gentle on patients and roommates. Bright, cheerful options with gerbera daisies, sunflowers, or colourful mixed bouquets are always a hit and really brighten up a hospital room. When you order, just provide the patient's full name, room number, and a contact phone number, and our driver will leave the flowers at the desk for the specific ward.

Seasonal availability changes throughout the year. In spring, look for peonies, hyacinths, and ranunculus. Summer brings sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, and garden roses. Fall is gorgeous for chrysanthemums, marigolds, and rich-toned dahlias. Winter favourites include amaryllis, paperwhites, and classic roses. Our designers always work with the freshest seasonal blooms. If you want to know exactly what's looking great this week, give us a call.

Corporate & Gifting

Yes, we work with businesses of all sizes to handle holiday gifting, client appreciation, and employee recognition through flowers. Whether you're sending five arrangements or five hundred, we make the process simple. Just provide us with your recipient list and we'll take care of the rest, from designing the arrangements to coordinating all the deliveries.

Absolutely. We provide order templates for companies sending flowers to multiple recipients. You fill in names, addresses, and any personalized card messages, and we handle all the logistics. This is especially popular during the holiday season when businesses are sending gifts to dozens (or hundreds) of clients at once. Call us at (416) 488-8888 or email garrettflorist@yahoo.com to get started with a template.

Yes, we offer corporate accounts with simplified ordering for businesses that send flowers regularly. Once your account is set up, you can place orders quickly by phone or email without re-entering details each time. We can also keep your recipient lists on file so reordering for the next holiday or occasion is even easier.

Of course, custom arrangements are what we do best. Tell us the occasion, your colour preferences, favourite flowers, and budget, and our designers will create something one-of-a-kind. You can request a custom arrangement through our website, by phone, or in person at the shop. We love a creative challenge.

Yes. In addition to fresh and dried flower arrangements, we carry a lovely selection of potted plants, gift baskets, greeting cards, and seasonal items. Everything is available in-store and many items can be ordered online or added to a flower delivery. If you have something specific in mind that you don't see on our website, give us a call. We love making it happen. One of our customers wanted to surprise her mother with an arrangement in a vintage blue ceramic vase to match her kitchen. We tracked one down, filled it with white peonies and eucalyptus, and delivered it the next morning. That's the kind of thing we do here. Just tell us your idea and we'll figure out the rest.

Sympathy & Funeral Flowers

Yes, we deliver sympathy and funeral flowers to funeral homes throughout Toronto and the GTA, including Cardinal Funeral Homes, Mount Pleasant Cemetery & Funeral Centres, Morley Bedford Funeral Services, Jerrett Funeral Homes, Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, Turner & Porter, Ridley Funeral Home, Highland Funeral Home, McDougall & Brown, Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, Newediuk Funeral Home, Murray E. Newbigging Funeral Home, Vescio Funeral Homes, Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre, G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, New Haven Funeral Centre, Ward Funeral Homes, Marshall Funeral Home, Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, and many more. We coordinate directly with the funeral home to make sure your arrangement arrives on time and is displayed properly.

Traditional sympathy flowers include white lilies, roses, chrysanthemums, and carnations. White and soft pastel tones are the most common choices. Standing sprays, wreaths, and casket arrangements are typically sent by close family, while smaller bouquets and basket arrangements are appropriate from friends, colleagues, and neighbours. If you're unsure, our team can guide you through the options. Just call us at (416) 488-8888.

Absolutely. Sending flowers to the family's home after the funeral is a thoughtful and welcome gesture. Many people appreciate receiving flowers in the days and weeks following a loss, when the initial support has quieted down. A bright arrangement or a lasting plant with a heartfelt note can mean a great deal during that time.

We're experienced with the traditions around Jewish bereavement. Flowers are generally not sent to an Orthodox Jewish funeral or shiva house, and during the shiva period a food basket or charitable donation is more appropriate. However, for less traditional or secular Jewish families, flowers may be welcome. If you're not sure, give us a call and we'll help you choose the right gesture for the family.

Keep it simple and sincere, as that's what matters most. Here are a few examples that always feel appropriate:

  • "Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time."
  • "With deepest sympathy and love, [your name]."
  • "Wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead."
  • "[Name] will be dearly missed. Sending you all our love."
  • "There are no words, but please know we are here for you."

Avoid phrases like "they're in a better place" which, while well-meaning, can feel dismissive of someone's grief. If you'd like, just let us know what you'd like to say and we'll write it on the card for you.

Jewish Holidays & Flowers

Yes, Rosh Hashanah is one of our most popular times for flower orders. Flowers are a wonderful way to wish someone a sweet new year, and they make a beautiful addition to the holiday table. We create special Rosh Hashanah arrangements in warm autumn tones, think golden sunflowers, deep red roses, burnt orange dahlias, burgundy chrysanthemums, and lush seasonal greenery. Many of our corporate clients also send Rosh Hashanah flowers to their contacts using our gifting templates. We recommend ordering at least a few days in advance, as this is a busy period.

Absolutely. Fresh flowers are a lovely gift for a Passover seder host and a beautiful centrepiece for the holiday table. Spring is at its best during Pesach, so we work with hyacinths, ranunculus, white lilies, lavender stock, and soft pink peonies when available. We design Passover arrangements that feel fresh, festive, and elegant. If you'd like, we can pair flowers with a gift basket for the host.

Flowers are a wonderful Hanukkah gift, whether you're celebrating with family or sending them to a friend. Blue and white arrangements are a classic choice, featuring blue delphinium, white roses, white hydrangeas, blue thistle, and silver-dusted eucalyptus. For something warmer, we also design winter arrangements with white amaryllis, ivory roses, deep green cedar, and touches of silver brunia. We create special Hanukkah designs throughout the eight nights. Since Hanukkah falls at a different time each year, check our website or give us a call for the current season's collection.

Yes, and Shavuot is actually one of the most flower-friendly Jewish holidays. There is a longstanding tradition of decorating the home and synagogue with fresh flowers and greenery for Shavuot, symbolizing the harvest and the greenery of Mount Sinai. We create lush, abundant arrangements featuring garden roses, peonies, white lilac, jasmine vine, trailing ivy, and cascading ferns. It's a wonderful occasion to send flowers to someone or to brighten your own home.

Yes, flowers and greenery are a meaningful part of Sukkot, used to decorate the sukkah and celebrate the harvest season. We design arrangements that complement the natural, earthy feel of the holiday, using rustic sunflowers, orange and red roses, amber-toned chrysanthemums, wheat stalks, dried grasses, and seasonal branches with autumn foliage. Hanging arrangements and table centrepieces are both popular choices. Let us know the size of your sukkah and we can suggest something that fits perfectly.

We recommend placing your order at least 3 to 5 days before the holiday begins, especially for Rosh Hashanah and Passover, which are our busiest Jewish holiday periods. For corporate orders with multiple recipients, give us at least a week so we can coordinate all the deliveries. Keep in mind that we don't deliver on Saturdays (Shabbat) or Sundays, so plan your delivery date accordingly.

Flowers are welcome for most Jewish celebrations, but there are a few situations to be aware of. For Orthodox Jewish funerals and shiva, a food basket or donation is a better choice. During Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), the focus is on fasting and reflection rather than gifts, so flowers are not typically sent. For Tisha B'Av, another day of mourning, gifts including flowers are also avoided. When in doubt, give us a call and we'll help you navigate the etiquette.

Seasonal & Holiday Ordering

Valentine's Day is the busiest day of the year for florists, so ordering about a week in advance is a great way to make sure you get exactly what you want. That said, we always accommodate last-minute orders and will have beautiful arrangements available right up to February 14th. Pro tip: ordering for February 13th delivery is a great way to beat the rush and still make a big impression.

Mother's Day is the second busiest day of the year for us, so ordering a week ahead gives you the best selection. We'll have a beautiful range of special Mother's Day arrangements on our website in the weeks leading up to the holiday. If you're a last-minute planner, don't worry. We always accommodate and will make sure mom gets something gorgeous.

Yes, we create special collections for all the major flower holidays: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Each collection features seasonal designs at a range of price points. We also have beautiful holiday plants, wreaths, and centrepieces for the festive season. Check our website or call the shop to see what's new.

Certain flowers, especially red roses, do cost more around Valentine's Day because of higher wholesale demand worldwide. This isn't a markup on our end; it reflects global supply and demand. If you're looking for stunning Valentine's arrangements at a gentler price, we have beautiful options with mixed flowers, ranunculus, or garden roses that are just as romantic and often more unique than the classic dozen roses.
